Within the final 5 years since we’ve been making the present, we’ve seen an unlucky quantity of violence in the US: the kidnapping try on Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer; the January sixth assault on the Capitol; the assassination makes an attempt on President Trump; the political assassinations of Democratic representatives in Minnesota; the assault on Speaker Pelosi’s husband; the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk; the current capturing at an ABC affiliate station in California; and over 300 college shootings throughout this nation.
These incidents, although removed from encompassing the total vary of violence witnessed in the US, illustrate a broader mindset that crosses the political spectrum and should be confronted. I’ve by no means shied away from tough topics, and whereas I want this present wasn’t so related, sadly it’s.
