Stories have been cropping up that second-generation Chromecasts and music-streaming Chromecast Audio units are failing, displaying an “Untrusted system” error on the system they’re attempting to solid from, reports 9to5Google.
Textual content from screenshots of the error posted to Reddit says the system “couldn’t be verified. This might be attributable to outdated system firmware,” main some to fret that the units are certain for the Google graveyard. Google is “conscious of a difficulty with some older technology Chromecasts,” Google spokesperson Nicol Addison advised The Verge in an electronic mail, including, “As soon as we’ve got extra particulars concerning the problem and the repair, I’ll share these with you.”
