The long-awaited addition of Housing in World of Warcraft goes to price you. On high of your month-to-month subscription and the price of the Midnight growth itself, some Housing gadgets would require a brand new in-game foreign money known as “Hearthsteel” that gamers should pay for with actual cash. World of Warcraft already has hundreds of currencies, and at one level, the sport’s most important foreign money, gold, was worth more than the Venezuelan bolivar.
Blizzard stated in its announcement blog post for Hearthsteel that it’s going to solely be for Housing, not the Buying and selling Submit, mounts, or different in-game gadgets. Blizzard additionally clarified that not the entire Housing gadgets would require Hearthsteel:
“The overwhelming majority of Housing gadgets are (and can proceed to be) earnable in-game. Solely a small fraction is offered for buy from the store. Evaluating this quantity in opposition to collectibles comparable to mounts is an efficient metric right here, with greater than a thousand mounts earnable in-game and only some dozen from the store.”
